My name is Cindy Gillund, my family and I moved to the Stillwater State Forest northwest of Whitefish, MT in June of 2002. Having three boys we spend alot of time outside camping, fishing, boating, snowboarding, etc, etc. With this love for nature, fun, my family and my camera, I can't help but peer through a viewfinder everywhere I go. Born in Cut Bank, MT, I grew up on a farm by the West Butte of the Sweetgrass Hills. Developing a passion for photography at a young age, I took it on as a 4H project at age 9 and haven't put my camera down since. Working as a newspaper photographer for 3 years provided me with countless opportunities to improve my skills, as well as a passion for candid and sports photography. Combining my love of photography and sports earned me the Best Sports Photo in a Class 2 Weekly Newspaper in the State of MT Better Newspaper Competition 2002. Since then, I have broadened my photography spectrum with graphic design and different photography techniques, including light painting, multiplicity, levitation and composite photos. These shoots are often times the most fun and result in one of a kind images that can be treasured forever.
